Many CASFM members will be presenting at this year's conference, so we're advertising this workshop early to make sure it's on everyone's radar. Whether you're a first-time presenter or a seasoned speaker, now is the perfect time to sharpen your skills and start preparing a presentation that is clear, engaging, and impactful.

Great presentations are not just about confidence—they are about clarity, preparation, and intentional delivery.

Join us for an interactive workshop designed to help participants build stronger presentations by focusing on three essentials: preparation, structure, and delivery. Through practical examples, discussion, and hands-on tools, participants will learn how to better understand their audience, sharpen their message, organize content for impact, use visuals effectively, and present with greater confidence in both in-person and virtual settings. Lunch will be provided.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will learn how to:

  • Identify the audience, purpose, and setting considerations that shape an effective presentation
  • Organize a presentation with a clear point, strong opening, strong conclusion, and memorable structure
  • Use stories, visuals, and the Rule of 3 to make presentations more engaging and easier to follow
  • Improve delivery through better pacing, pauses, eye contact, gestures, and slide design
  • Apply a practical planning template to build their next presentation with greater intentionality and clarity

Workshop Topics

  • What makes presentations bland, confusing, or forgettable?
  • Preparation: Audience, purpose, setting, timing, and rehearsal habits that set presenters up for success
  • Structure: Openings, closings, storytelling, the Rule of 3, and organizing information for clarity and impact
  • Delivery: Voice, body language, slide design, visuals, and avoiding common presentation mistakes
  • Application: Use a practical planning template to improve your next presentation right away

Whether you're preparing for the CASFM Conference, a board meeting, a public presentation, or a project briefing, this workshop will provide practical techniques you can put to use immediately.
