Colorado Association of Stormwater and Floodplain Managers

Q: Who is the CASFM Membership Manager?

A: Stuart Gardner. He can be contacted at stuart@casfm.org or 970-683-6354.

Q: What kind of membership categories are available?

A: Corporate, Individual, Student, Educator, and Retired. Corporate (Bundles) are collections of members who are linked together and managed by one of their members – the bundle administrator.

Q: Why should I join CASFM? Why should I join as a Corporate Member?

  • CASFM Members are the first (and often the only) to find out about CASFM educational and networking opportunities. These opportunities include seminars, conferences, lunch and learns, networking and education gatherings, and other stormwater and floodplain learning events.
  • Corporate membership allows more people to participate in CASFM than would otherwise participate under individual membership. Our Unlimited level is a terrific value.
  • CASFM Members receive timely and pertinent email communications regarding breaking news in stormwater and floodplain management, such as information regarding Community Rating System news, and floodplain elevation certificates.
  • CASFM Corporate membership sends a signal that your organization is an active contributing partner of the Colorado community of professionals that undertake to design, manage, and maintain riparian habitat in the State of Colorado.

Q: I don't have an invoice, how do I renew my membership?

A: Log in to your account and select "View profile". Once you're in your profile area, you should see a button to Renew Your Membership. Click that button,  and on the next screen you will be able to update any membership fields that are missing or incorrect (if needed). Once you've checked your membership fields, click on the "Update and Next" button. In the next screen you can choose to pay offline, pay online, or receive an invoice.

Q: I'm a Bundle Administrator and I need to remove someone from my Bundle. How do I do that?

A: Log in to your account, click on "View Profile", and find your list of members partway down the page. Open up the member you want to remove. And then "Archive" that member. That individual will still be connected to your bundle, but will not be counted toward your bundle limit. If the individual still wants to be a CASFM Member, you or the member can contact the membership manager, and he will change the member's status to Individual Member and update the email address. Then the member can log in and change the rest of their information such as employer, address, etc.

This is also the area where you can Add New Members to your Bundle.

Q: I don't want to be a Bundle Administrator any more. How do I change that?

A: Contact the Membership Manager with the new administrator's name and he will change that for you.

Q: Someone just joined my company and is a current member with another company. How do I add that person to my bundle?

A: There are two ways. You can add that person to your bundle as a new CASFM member, and let the other membership lapse. Or contact the Membership Manager to have that person moved in to your bundle.

Q: I want to change bundle levels, how do I do that?

A: You'll need to contact the Membership Manager to make that change. If you move to a larger bundle, you'll receive an invoice for the upgrade. If it's after July 1st, you can move up for the rest of the year at no cost. There will be no refunds for moving down.

Q: Somehow I managed to miss the reminder emails about renewing my membership and now my membership has been suspended or is otherwise just gone. How can I become a member again?

A: If you haven't waited too long, you might be able to log back in with your suspended account and renew. However, after a few months, suspended and archived members are purged to clean up the database. If that's occurred, you'll need to re-join here.
